Step 1: Draw 2 identical boxes to represent the amount of money each boy received. Mark the 2 boxes with question marks because we do not know their value yet. $questionaandanswers101$ Step 2: Draw an additional box to make Raju's model bar longer by $100.

Step 3: Draw a bracket to the right of the 2 model bars to show that the total of the two is $410. $Questions and Answers 103$ From the model,

$410 - $100 = $310

$310 / 2 = $155

Therefore, Samy received $155.
