Early one morning Sandy took out one-half of the coins from her coin bank, and in the evening she put in 20 coins. The next morning she took out one-third of the coins in the bank, and that evening she put in 4 coins. The next morning, she took out one-half the coins in the bank, leaving 15 coins. How many coins were in the bank to begin with?

One of the best way to teach kids math
by: Zach

Yes indeed Minnie. Model Method reduces abstract math concepts to simple and easily understood pictorial cues to make learning and solving math problem sums easy especially for elementary school kids. You can still teach your kid model method to supplement whatever he/she learns in school as Model Method helps the child come up with the correct number sentences to make to arrive at the correct answers.

Bar model math is probably the best way to teach kids math. It's sad that our teachers don't do this .
Thanks for your help.
